Right wing Religion in America:

Christian Reconstructionist Vision of American Society:
What will a “reconstructed” American society will look like?
1.Decentralized government within a Christian, theocratic framework
2.Death penalty for all capital crimes in the Old Testament (homosexuality, adultery, etc.)
3.Restitution as part of the criminal justice system
4.Slavery
5.Strong national defense until the rest of the world is Christianized
6.Strong private property rights
7.Laissez-faire capitalism and free market economy
8.Gold-based monetary system with little or no debt

Leo Strauss (September 20, 1899 – October 18, 1973), was a German-born Jewish-American political philosopher who specialized in the study of classical political philosophy.

In 1952 Strauss published Persecution and the Art of Writing; a work that advanced the possibility that philosophers wrote esoterically to avoid persecution by the state or religious authority, while also being able to reach potential philosophers within the pious faithful. From this point on in his scholarship, Strauss deepened his conception of this means of communication between philosophers and “potential knowers.”
